In the wake of the International Year of Millets, the M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) is set to host an extraordinary event that will shed light on a crucial matter affecting global health. As part of their International Conference on "Mighty Millets for Food, Nutritional and Health Security," MSSRF has organized a Public Forum on 'One Health for All.' This event will take place at the Anna Centenary Library Auditorium in Chennai on August 6, 2023, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.
The concept of One Health emphasizes the need for collaboration and interdisciplinary approaches to tackle health issues. It recognizes the intricate connections between humans, animals, plants, and their shared environment. The objective of this approach is to achieve optimal health outcomes at the local, regional, national, and global levels. By addressing health concerns holistically, One Health aims to combat challenges such as antimicrobial resistance, zoonotic diseases, vector-borne diseases, food safety, malnutrition, and various other stressors.
To facilitate meaningful discussions and foster a comprehensive understanding of One Health, a distinguished panel of experts has been assembled.
