Having ph.D in agricultural Economics, I am working as scientist for past 15 years at Directorate of Research on Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar, India. I have worked in areas such as gender work participation in agriculture, policy and institutional issues for empowering women in aquaculture, impact of govt. programs on women and strenghteing gender perspective in agricultural research. I have developed a conceptual model on gender sensitization process, gender work participation disparity index(GWPDI) and frameworks for understanding gender perpsective in agriculture.

Contributed to successful completion of Global Conference on Women in Agriculture held in March 2012 in New Delhi, India through my involvement in developing concept note of the conference, screening, editing and compilation of abstracts, summary of oral presentations and profile of presentors, and finally in bringing out the proceeding of global conference in October 2012.
