The Global NARS Consortium: Uniting for Impact 
While NARS are central to innovation and sustainable agricultural practices at national, sub-regional and regional levels, their global representation has remained fragmented, limiting their ability to address global challenges collectively and advocate for their needs effectively. The Global NARS Consortium (GNC) initiative is designed to provide a collaborative space that empowers and amplifies the collective voice of NARS. Since the Bangkok Declaration in March 2023, significant progress has been made toward establishing the GNC, thanks to the collaborative efforts of GFAiR, the Regional Fora (APAARI, AARINENA, CACAARI, EFARD, FARA, and FORAGRO) and global partners.
The Global NARS Consortium (GNC) Pre-Launch will bring together National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS) and international partners to pool expertise and resources, enhance policy influence and promote collaboration to address the rapidly changing global challenges. The GNC will bolster NARS’ ability to contribute to sustainable development and the transformation of agricultural research and innovation worldwide.
The event will provide the opportunity to join the initiative as founding member, discuss working principles / guidelines as well as pilot initiatives.
