Adnan Arshad working as Research Officer and responsible of Agriculture, Climate Change, Water and Forest Management. He completed his post-graduation in Adaptation to Climate Change from Arid Agriculture University in 2011. During his research project Mr. Adnan developed climate adaptation framework plan for rain-fed region of Pakistan, according to the regional climatic variations. Working with PODA his skills include thinking sequentially and synthesizing innovative nature conservation techniques and transfer from research station to the communities. He has well expertise to develop need bases project proposal and their effective implementation to tackle natural disasters and facilitate locals. Recently, he completed Rainwater Harvesting project for Forest Management-2014 among moist temperate communities. He has delivered 107 technical capacity building trainings and trained more than 510 beneficiaries on different topics. Currently, He is leading forest conservation and reforestation campaigns in northern mountain areas of Pakistan.
His affiliations and memberships include Pakistan Society of Agronomy (PSA), Climate Action Network South Asia (CANSA), Sustainable Agriculture Action Group (SAAG), Pakistan Society of Soil Water & Conservation (PSSC), WWF-Pakistan, Education Youth Ambassador (EYA), National Academy of Young Scientist (NAYS) and YPARD. Apart from this, he has volunteered for different causes in IUCN and WWF-Pakistan.
