Nikos Marianos holds a diploma in Maritime Business Administration (2002), a M.Sc. in ICT Applications in Transport (2003) and a PhD in Integrated Evaluation Methods for Electronic Port Services (2013) from the Departments of Shipping, Trade and Transport of the University of the Aegean, Greece.
Nikos is the Project Management Director of Agroknow, in charge of all EU funded research projects. Some of the most important initiatives he is involved in are CIP PSP Organic.Lingua (www.organic-lingua.eu), CIP PSP Open Discovery Space (opendiscoveryspace.eu/) and FP7 SemaGrow (www.semagrow.eu).
He is an evaluation expert, specializing in the evaluation of IT/IS and has several publications in scientific journals and conferences. Some publications can be found on ResearchGate (http://www.researchgate.net/profile/Nikolaos_Marianos/publications/).
Nikos is working as a trainer for adult learners in the fields of ICT and eGovernment since 2002 and has experience in the organization of training seminars and workshops for teachers and trainers. He was also teaching electronic commerce in the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport at a undergraduate and a postgraduate level from 2003 till 2012.
Nikos is also a content development expert with experience in designing and developing digital learning objects and educational pathways with the use of Web 2.0 tools and OER.
He is currently a member of the Laboratory of Research on Transport and Decision-Making and the Laboratory in Research in Shipping and Port Management.
