Held every four years, the International Rice Congress (IRC) is the world’s largest gathering of rice scientists, researchers, and rice industry experts and players to share the results of their work; intelligence on market trends, drivers, and developments; and together learn about factors that affect the rice industry and technologies in the short and long term.

This year's IRC focuses on Transformative Science for Food and Nutrition Security, and is organized around 8 themes which serve as the cornerstones of addressing critical development challenges in agriculture.  The 4-day conference will likewise feature innovative showcases and flash talks around these themes.
