Theib Y. Oweis, PhD Engineering Theib Oweis is a world leading specialist in water harvesting and management for agriculture especially under conditions of water scarcity. He has a PhD and MSc. degrees in Agriculture and Irrigation Engineering and spent over 35 years in researching, developing, teaching and publishing in water harvesting, supplemental irrigation, deficit irrigation, water productivity, salinity, and other areas associated with improving the productivity of water use in agriculture. He published over 200 refereed journal, books/book chapters and conference proceedings. Currently he is the Director of the Integrated Water and Land Management Program at the International Center for Agricultural Research in the dry Areas (ICARDA).
