Is a Groundnut Breeder at Naliendele Agricultural Research Institute under the Ministry of Agriculture,in Tanzania.He has PhD Degree from the University of East Anglia School of Development Studies Norwich UK which he completed in 1996 with PhD Thesis "Involving farmers in the design of low input control programme for sesame flea beetle Alocypha bimaculata Jacoby in sesame".He studied in USSR at Kishinev Agricultural University from 1983 to 1989 and received MSc Degree in Agriculture with specilization in Plant Breeding and genetics with Desertation on "Use of cytoplasmic male sterility in sunflower breeding for heterosis".To date he has released 5 improved sesame varieties and 7 improved groundnut varieties since 1990.He currently collaborates with International Crop Research for Semi Arid tropics ICRISAT through Tropical Legumes I&II Groundnut Breeding Projects,with Bunda College of Agriculture in Malawi on Bambara nuts project suppor
