Dr. Moses Osiru is currently RUFORUM’s Deputy Executive Secretary in charge of Administration. Moses previous work experience includes the CGIAR in Malawi and Uganda, NARs in East Africa and the Government of Uganda. Moses serves on the Board of the African Crop Science Society and the GCHERA and Editorial Boards of the Journal of Phytology and the Global Journal of Applied Agricultural Research. He is a member of the Steering Group of AFAAS. With over 20 publications, Dr. Osiru has participated as a Scientist on various EC Projects including an EC project for non-state actors in Malawi with CARE-Malawi; Mcknight Foundation Projects on Groundnut Breeding and Aflatoxin Management; Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Project on Legume Breeding with ICRISAT. He is currently Coordinating an ACP S&T Project on strengthening the engagement of universities with development practice, and leads the WP4 on capacity building in FARA/AgriNatura led DGDEV PAEPARD Project.
