Recognizing the need to strengthen agricultural advisory services around the world, GFAR was co-founder, and is a Steering Committee member, of the Global Forum on Rural Advisory Services (GFRAS).

 

GFRAS aims to strengthen and bring new international linkages to advisory service providers around the world and advocates for creating and resourcing effective advisory services for today’s needs. 

 

Support to this agenda is part of the GFAR Medium Term Plan and GFRAS brings the work and perspectives of extension providers into collective actions with other stakeholders via the GFAR Steering Committee. GFRAS hold its 4th annual meeting in Berlin, Germany, 2-26 September 2013.
