The first part of this paper presented the outcomes of the initial phase of APARIS (Asia-Pacific Agricultural Research Information System) that have been achieved and developed during January 2001-July 2002. The second part provided an overview of further processes for the organization of the ICT Expert Consultation on the Development of Second Phase of APARIS, as well as the main considerations that shall be taken into accounts during the Expert Consultation.
