The GFAR 2006 Triennial Conference with its theme ¿Reorienting Agricultural Research to meet the Millennium Development Goals¿ held in New Delhi, India from 8-11 November, 2007 was an important milestone for the GFAR. The Conference questioned the ability of current agricultural approaches, especially in research and innovation, to meet the Millennium Development Goals primarily those concerned with the eradication of extreme poverty and hunger by 2015 and the maintenance of the world's natural resources integrity. The Conference formulated a set of recommendations for agricultural research for development as the Delhi Conference's declaration and set a global agenda to change agricultural systems, institutions and technology generation and innovation processes. This document details the proceedings of the GFAR 2006 Triennial Conference. It should be useful to the global agricultural research for development community.
