To conduct fisheries resources survey and assessment of stock to develop fisheries database for proper planning. To facilitate arrangement for institutional credit for fish and shrimp farmers, fishers and fish traders. To facilitate alternative income generating activities for rural poor and unemployed people towards poverty alleviation. To formulate and implement development projects towards sustainable utilization of fisheries resources to ensure food security.
Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI) is a premier Institute of the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) with glorious tradition of carrying out research, teaching and training in the areas of Agricultural Statistics and Computer Application. IASRI was established as full fledeged national institute of ICAR in 1978. The vision of the institute is to use the power of Statistics as a science blended judiciously with Information Communication Technology to enhance the quality of agricultural research. To convert this vision into a reality, the institute has set for itself a mission to undertake research, teaching and training in Agricultural Statistics and Computer Applications so that these efforts culminate into improved quality of agricultural research and also meet the challenges of agricultural research in newer emerging areas. Research and Teaching Programmes in the institute are conducted through Six Divisions: Design of Experiments Sample Surveys Computer Applications Biometrics and Statistical Modelling Forecasting and Econometrics Techniques Centre for Agricultural Bioinformatics IASRI is part of Indian Agicultural Research Institute (IARI) deemed university for carrying out the post graduate teaching in the discipline of Agricultural Statistics and Computer Applications. IASRI also conducts a lot of training programmes under Centre of Advanced Studies, Summer/Winter Schools and demand driven training programmes for various other research organizations in the area of Agricultural Statistics, Computer Applications and Bio-informatics.
The OAJMAP is an international refereed journal that publishes scientific articles concerned with medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) covering areas like botany, taxonomy, ecology, crop husbandry, crop protection, genetic improvement including molecular genetics, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, and related areas. However, work on animal systems including pharmacology, pharmacognosy, etc are not solicited. Editorial team specially welcomes results of multidisciplinary scientific work. The OAJMAP aims to advance communication among scientists in disparate fields who share a common interest in MAPs, and to narrow the gap between research workers, farm managers, and extension personnel in the field for mutual benefit.
