El Instituto de Investigaciones Agropecuarias, INIA, es la principal institución de investigación agropecuaria de Chile, siendo una corporación de derecho privado, sin fines de lucro, dependiente del Ministerio de Agricultura. Fue creado en 1964 por el Instituto de Desarrollo Agropecuario, la Corporación de Fomento de la Producción, la Universidad de Chile, la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile y la Universidad de Concepción. Cuenta con una cobertura geográfica nacional, la que está compuesta por 11 Centros Regionales de Investigación (CRI),ubicados en las regiones de Coquimbo, de Valparaíso, Metropolitana, del Libertador Bernardo O’Higgins, del Maule, del Bío Bío, de La Araucanía, de Los Lagos, del General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo y de Magallanes. De los CRI dependen los Centros Experimentales y las Oficinas Técnicas. La misión del INIA es 'Generar y transferir conocimientos y tecnologías estratégicas a escala global para producir innovación y mejorar la competitividad en el sector silvoagropecuario .”
IRAD is a public administrative institution with financial autonomy. It is placed under the technical supervision of the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation and under the financial supervision of the Ministry of the Economy and Finance. Its present organisation is characterized by a two-dimensional decentralized structure. On the one hand we have the Board of Administrators and the Head Office and the consultative organs and operational units on the other hand. Two organs manage IRAD: the Board of Administrators and the Head Office.
The SLU University Library comprises several units located at our main campuses in Alnarp, Skara, Uppsala and Umeå. The organization also includes libraries in Skinnskatteberg and Flyinge.
University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice is the only institution in the Slovak Republic offering higher education in the veterinary field. It has been providing the veterinary education in English for 15 years. Nowadays the University offers two English study programmes: 6-year degree programme for secondary-school graduates and 4-year degree post-BSc. programme for bachelors in agricultural, veterinary or biological sciences, both leading to the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
We are a semi-budgetary forestry agency established by the SR Ministry of Agriculture on 1 January 2006. The Centre reports directly to the Department of Forestry and Wood-processing of MA SR. Its duties and powers are prescribed by statute No 6481/2005-250 from 22 November 2005 amended by the Decision No 1549/2007-250 from 19 March 2007 and Decision No 3632/2007-250 from 23 August 2007.
