My education background is Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, my passion is community development and I am a Bachelor’s Degree Holder in Irrigation and Drainage from the University of Rwanda College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (UR-CAVM).
I have strong experience in working with the community in agriculture sector because from November 2014 up to now, I serve as a Team Leader in Quick wins marshland development program at MINAGRI Irrigation and Mechanization Task Force in Ruvungirana Marshland located in Gisagara District. In addition to this, from May up to June 2014, I was serving as an intern MINAGRI-RWANDA Irrigation and Mechanization Task Force in Musanze District (Cyabingo Sector). And from July-August 2012, I also served as an intern at Wash Project which was operating in Nyabihu District (Jenda Sector).
During my studies, I have got the chance to participate in two different internship opportunities. I have experience in livelihood improvement, valued by a one month training at DOT-Rwanda as a ReachUp!Program participant where I have been empowered in business, life skills, and micro-enterprise development in order to build capacity of marginalized people, especially women and youth, as a strategy to improve their livelihoods and incomes as a way of eradicating poverty and vulnerability especially in underprivileged local communities. I have been exposed to important skills ranging from capacity building, project management and community mobilization.
