Jusipbek Kazbekov has more than 15 years of academic, research and development experience in water management in Central Asian Region. He has developed respectable working relations with relevant ministries, development partners in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, including regional organizations. He taught academic courses on Hydraulics, Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), Rural Water Supply and Ecology & Environmental Protection. He has developed and conducted various training programs for the basin, canal, extension and farmer organizations on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). He has designed and implemented capacity building courses for the Water User Associations (WUAs) on crop water requirements, water planning for WUA, irrigation scheduling & distribution, water measuring & accounting, performance indicators & evaluation, social mobilization & institutional development for establishing & strengthening WUAs. He has more than 30 peer-reviewed publications. He has extensive project cycle management skills including project planning, monitoring and reporting. His international experience covers research in Malawi, Mozambique, USA and Sri Lanka, Southern Africa and attendance of various events & trainings in Bangladesh, India, Israel, Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Philippines, Sri Lanka and USA. To support his education he has obtained different prestigious international and governmental fellowships and awards.
