Miss Tsitsi Valerie Machingauta is an internationally acclaimed expert in agricultural science and Climate Change, and founder of the Women’s Farming Syndicate Zimbabwe. Miss Machingauta Holds a Bsc in Public Relations and Marketing, Msc in Climate Change Science, Post graduate Diploma in Environment and Sustainable Development, Diploma in Equality and Diversity, Diploma Health Science, Diploma Farm Management, Diploma in Agricultural Marketing, Diploma in Animal Breeding and Diploma in International Law.
Miss Machingauta has been a tireless advocate for women farmers in Sub-saharan Africa for many years, developing and implementing sustainable agriculture, climate change innovations and empowering grassroots women. In 2014, Miss Machingauta addressed the Africa Development Summit about the role of the farmer in addressing climate change.
Originally from Zimbabwe, Miss Machingauta now owns and manages a successful agro- processing business and is an International exponent of traditional African foods to Europe and America. She has developed a unique mentorship programme for women in agriculture which she has advanced in a number of African and Asian countries. She works to educate farmers about sustainable farming and community supported agriculture, and she has particular interest in developing resources for small-scale farmers.
Miss Machingauta is also a board director of the Better Life Fund, African Women in Agriculture and a member of the Climate Smart Alliance, authoring several books and publications.
