I am Alice Van der Elstraeten from Belgium and I work as a Knowledge Management and Gender Associated Officer for FAO. Last year I worked in Niger and Burkina Faso and since this summer I am based at HQ in Rome. Prior to Niger I worked for 5 years in Central Africa (mainly DRC, Burundi, Rwanda) as the Coordinator of the Information and Communications Department of the Congolese Ministry of Agriculture; as the Great Lakes Coordinator for Search for Common Ground and as a Communications Specialist for IFDC (International Fertilizer Development Center). I have a Masters degree in Anthropology and a Bachelors degree in Philosophy and Communications.
