André Devaux, Belgian, Ph.D. in Agriculture Science at “Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL)”, Belgium, with more than 25 years’ experience. Most of his career has been associated with the International Potato Center (CIP). He has developed expertise in strengthening agriculture research and development programs working with multidisciplinary teams in Latin America (Andes), Africa (east Africa) and Asia (Pakistan). Extensive research experience in potato production and innovation systems, value chain approach and public-private partnership. He has published more than 50 articles, books and research reports in his fields of professional interest. He is now based in Ecuador assuming the Latin American and the Caribbean (LAC) Regional Leadership as well as the coordination of a research for development regional project which promotes pro-poor innovation approaches for food security in the Andean potato-based food systems.
