The staff of the GFAR Secretariat are happy to announce the addition of a new member to our team. Last month, Ms. Caroline Muganda came on board as Programme Officer and brings to the Global Forum a wealth of expertise in project support across various organisations.
Prior to joining GFAR, Caroline worked with the Emergency and Resilience unit in FAO Bangladesh, providing support to high-risk households with lifesaving support through food security and livelihood assistance packages as well as protecting livestock and agricultural assets. She has worked for the FAO Subregional office for the GCC states and Yemen supporting government projects aimed at transforming the food and agriculture sector in the UAE to achieve the sustainable development goals for enhanced Food Security and Nutrition. Caroline has also worked with WFP Fast IT and Telecommunications Emergency Support Team (FITTEST), an emergency preparedness and response unit that restores critical services in humanitarian emergencies across the globe.
In her new role, Caroline, who holds an MBA from Warwick Business School, Coventry UK, will support the management and delivery of GFAR's activities by providing leadership in the planning and management of budgetary, programming, human resources and administrative matters. Caroline will also support the Executive Secretary in mobilizing Partners in GFAR to engage in collective advocacy through communication and knowledge sharing.
Welcome to the team Caroline!
