As Head of Project, you are responsible for the implementation and coordination of the activities of Welthungerhilfe, in accordance with the framework specified as regards content, financing and timescales. The projects are in the areas of food security, especially value-added chains (rice, potatoes, fish farming) and WASH.

Your most important duties:

• Representation of Welthungerhilfe and coordination of the project concept and planned project activities with local decision makers and other aid and development organisations working in the project area

• Technical and administrative planning, supervision and coordination of measures

• Documentation of the measures in accordance with the guidelines and standards of Welthungerhilfe and donors (including reports)

• Monitoring, analysis and identification of new measures

• Ensuring the necessary flow of information and transparency of the project work to the general public in the deployment country

The position is to be filled by 1 October 2016 with an initial contract duration until 31 December 2017. The field location is Bamako. Taking into account the security situation, duty trips within the Timbuktu and Kayes region will be required.
