IWMI is one of 15 international research centers supported by the network of 60 governments, private foundations and international and regional organizations collectively known as the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). It is a non-profit organization with a staff of 350 and offices in over 10 countries across Asia and Africa and Headquarters in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Bioversity International is a recognized leader in agricultural biodiversity research working with more than 700 partners around the world to improve the lives of smallholder farmers and rural communities. Bioversity International is a member of the CGIAR Consortium and a partner with Rome-based food and agriculture agencies Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and World Food Programme (WFP).

The WorldFish Center, a member of the CGIAR Consortium, is an international, nonprofit research organization. CGIAR is a global partnership that unites organizations engaged in research for a food secure future. CGIAR research is dedicated to reducing rural poverty, increasing food security, improving human health and nutrition, and ensuring more sustainable management of natural resources. It is carried out by the 15 centers who are members of the CGIAR Consortium in close collaboration with hundreds of partner organizations, including national and regional research institutes, civil society organizations, academia, and the private sector.

The Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) is a Department under the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment, of the Republic of Cyprus. The ARI was founded in 1962, after the independence of Cyprus, in cooperation with the Special Development Fund of the United Nations and the Food and Agriculture and became the property of the Government of Cyprus in 1967. The Institute conducts research directly applicable to the broad area of ​​agriculture and livestock in order to solve problems faced by Cypriot farmers. It evaluates new scientific and technological methods and suggests new procedures aimed at utilization of natural resources and improvement of animal and plant production. The main sectors and specialization in agriculture and livestock coexist under one roof, ensuring close cooperation between scientists and the rational use of equipment and other means.
