NARI is a public funded statutory research and development organisation in Papua New Guinea with a mandate to conduct applied, adaptive and development oriented research on food crops, emerging food and cash crops, smallholder livestock and resource management issues. It also provides technical services and up-to-date information and new knowledge to smallholder farmers and rural communities so as to contribute to agricultural and rural development in the country.
