I hold a master’s degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Egerton University, Kenya and a Bachelor of science degree in Agricultural Economics from the same university in 2005.
At present, I am based at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI)-Nairobi where I conduct research in livestock and agricultural development under the markets, gender and livelihoods theme. Currently I am involved in projects that seek to evaluate impacts of agriculture (crop and livestock) development programs on women’s income and assets, impacts of livestock value chains and livestock micro- financing on women’s empowerment and evaluating the comparative analysis of different livestock marketing systems.
