Director of International Programs, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) at the University of Florida. 25 years of international agricultural research and development experience includes project management; participatory research with smallholder farmers; capacity building for NARS scientists and NGO personnel; and the development, testing, and application of soil and crop growth simulation models. Held positions with the U.S. Peace Corps, Cornell University, the International Potato Center (CIP), and the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC). Has agricultural research and development experience with cropping systems in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, having lived and worked in agro-environments that stretch from the humid tropics to savannas to high mountains.
