Crop geneticist by training. Interested in the study and conservation of crop genetic resources. Leads the ARCAD project in Montpellier, dedicated to crop agrobiodiversity, with a particular focus on tropical and Mediterranean crops.

I am animal scientist specialising in goat production in the smallholder sector. I have been a researcher since 1985 and rose to the rank of Director ( Livestock Research) in the Dept of Research and Specialist Services in 2009. to date.
I have been involved in on-farm research programmes with goat keepers in the drier areas of Zimbabwe. I am also involved in the promotion of indigenous breeds( cattle, goats, sheep and chickens.In addition I am the National Coordinator of Animal Genetic Resources in Zimbabwe.
I am a Developmental Professional, with notable familiarity in the NGO sector for around 5 years apart from post graduate in International Rural Development. I am dedicated to International development, Environment, Food security and Sustainable Agriculture and aspire my professional work to contribute to the good of Women, Farmers and Children on a global basis. I am very much interested to work in various parts of the world, especially in Developing countries helping rural women, by capacity building and sharing knowledge and making them empowered for a sustainable world.
