I am the rare agricultural economist from Singapore; unfortunately my country is not listed here. Currently I run my own editorial consultancy working with animal nutrition companies and clients in the commercial agricultural sector. But the heart of my interest is small-scale agriculture. I am particularly drawn to research and understanding more about smallholder appropriate farming technologies and the economic motivations of agricultural households.

Ashutosh Sarker is the Coordinator and Food Legume Breeder at the ICARDA South Asia & China Regional Program (SACRP), New Delhi, India. He served as a Food legume Breeder at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute before joining ICARDA in 1996 as a Lentil Breeder. Till 2008, he headed the Food Legume team at ICARDA HQ.
