One of the main objectives of GFAR’s activities around “opening access to knowledge” has been supporting the ability of organizations to work together to improve the sharing, managing and using of agricultural data.

The Organizing Committee for the Global Conference for Agricultural Research and Development (GCARD) is inviting Expressions of Interest from countries in sub-Saharan Africa wishing to host the GCARD3 Global event.
GCARD3 is a wide consultation process over the course of 2015 and 2016. The GCARD3 global event is a milestone in this process and is to take place in the first quarter of 2016. The GCARD3 global event will be directly representative of the wider consultation process.
