ICT Expert Consultation on the Development of Second Phase of APARIS and Meeting of APARIS Steering Committee. Proceedings

An ICT Expert Consultation on the Development of Second Phase of APARIS and Meeting of APARIS Steering Committee were held during 24-25 October 2002 at Bangkok, Thailand. There were 32 participants representing member NARS, associate members, supporting organizations such as FAO and GFAR. Mrs. Prapaisri Pitakpaiwan, acting DG, DOA, Thailand inaugurated the Expert Consultation being the chief guest. The deliberations of the Expert Consultation were conducted in five technical sessions and a plenary session beside the inaugural session.

One of these efforts at the regional level is INFOTEC, the Scientific and Technological
Information System for the Agricultural Sector in the Americas, with three years of
operation within IICA¿s platform Infoagro.NET. INFOTEC evolved in response to an
