Dr. Mark Holderness has been appointed as new Executive Secretary of the Global Forum on Agricultural Research (GFAR).
GFAR and FAO presented a paper at the Special Session on Agricultural Metadata & Semantics : 2nd International Conference on Metadata and Semantics Research (MTSR07), Greece, October 11-12, 2007.

An innovation systems approach for ARD focused on poor, small holder producers central to future GFAR actions
FARA is seeking to employ a Coordinator for the Sub Saharan Africa Challenge Program (SSA CP) who will be responsible to the Executive Secretary. The overall responsibility of the Coordinator is the successful implementation of the SSA CP following the integrated agricultural research for development (IAR4D) principles.
