I am currently (since May 2006) employed as a Senior Programme Manager – Information and Documentation with the SADC Plant Genetic Resources Centre (SPGRC) responsible for planning, development, installation and co-ordination of the documentation system for the plant genetic resources of the SADC region and for collection of suitable literature and publicising the activities of the SPGRC network in order to ensure the availability of scientific and management information for conservation and utilisation of these resources in the SADC region.

Kaprie Kanu as a Social Activitist/Advocate has over nine (9) years of experience working directly with grassroots communities and is currently the National Executive Coordinator for the Youth Partnership for Peace and Development (YPPD) Liberia, a local non-governmental, not-for-profit making youth-led organization founded in August 2008 by a group of young like-minded social activists including those with disabilities (male and female) with the aim of bringing new inclusive, innovative and sustainable approaches for the development of youth and their communities in Liberia.
