Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi, India is an autonomous organisation under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. Formerly known as Imperial Council of Agricultural Research, it was established on 16 July 1929 as a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in pursuance of the report of the Royal Commission on Agriculture. The ICAR has its headquarters at New Delhi.

Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI) is a premier Institute of the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) with glorious tradition of carrying out research, teaching and training in the areas of Agricultural Statistics and Computer Application. IASRI was established as full fledged national institute of ICAR in1978. The vision of the institute is to use the power of Statistics as a science blended judiciously with Information Communication Technology to enhance the quality of agricultural research.
