The University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot was established by the Government of Karnataka with a mandate of imparting quality education in all branches of horticulture, conducting applied, strategic and basic research & facilitating transfer of technologies to the farming community through extension system and outreach.The mission is to enhance the growth of farming sector by providing leadership in teaching, research and extension services in horticulture & allied sciences through continuous innovation & assimilation of emerging paradigms, concepts & technology development through end to end approach thus helping in resolving inter-sectoral issues for addressing problem areas.Extend special services in facilitating quality production, processing, marketing by farmers , thus ensuring time bound accomplishments with a sense of urgency.The institute works in collaboration with several national and international organizations.
