I recently took my new position of Head of the CGIAR Independent Evaluation Arrangements. I have more than 25 years of professional experience in international development in the food and agriculture sector, including extensive work related to evaluation. Over the years in FAO Evaluation Office, I managed strategic evaluations, all of which involved the complex assessment of public goods, such as international standard mechanisms, governance instruments, and normative products. Prior joining the FAO Office of evaluation in 2000, I was an economist in FAO’s Economic and Social Department, mostly conducting normative work on food security and vulnerability analysis. Prior to joining FAO, I was an economist in the Agriculture Department of the Asian Development Bank and, before that, conducted research on food security in the French Research Centre for Agriculture Development (CIRAD).
