I am presently working as a Research Officer in premeur socio economic research institute in agrarian sector in Sri Lanka. My major duties are contributing to Weekly and Monthly Food Commodities Bulletins of the Marketing and Food Information Dessemination Project which was initiated by the FAO/UNDP in 1996. I fulfil the Paddy/Rice sector in these bulletins, These publications are provided to National Food Security Commitee conducted by the Presidents Office. In addition to that I served as a resource person in Marketing Extension Training programme for the Agricultural Extension Officers.After a civil war of thirty years Sri Lanka is now undergoing many reawakening programmes in agricultural sector. I firmly belive that the experience gained from this forum will broden my horizons enabling me to reder a better service to to the country. I am qualified in BSc degree in Agriculture and Post graduate in Development studies.
