I am working with the Indian Council for Agricultural Research posted at the Directorate of Rice Research, Hyderabad,India. My area of work entails, extension methodologies to reach rural women and Gender mainstreaming. To undertake need based research programs especially for farm women for improving their knowledge and skills.To organize training programs for extension personnel and farmers/farm women.To undertake Gender analysis, design gender mainstreaming strategies and development of empowerment indices.Transfer of technology to Women Self-Help Groups.Design of training modules for development personnel and farmers. I am the recipient of the Fulbright Hubert Humphrey Fellowship for agricultural Development to the USA during 2007-08. I have the experience of working with family farms of the arid zone of India in Rajasthan for capacity building of farm families to adopt improved crop and livestock technologies especially through the women's self help groups.
