National Agricultural Research Information Management System (NARIMS) aims to enable agriculture scientists to carry out researches more effectively. It preserves existing information resources, prevent redundancy and duplication, and  helps increasing co-ordination among researches. In order to maximize collaboration and the use of NARIMS in Egypt and similar Information systems in other regional countries, Open Archives Initiative Protocol (OAI) for Metadata Harvesting of NARIMS publications has been implemented in CLAES.OAI provides an application-independent interoperability framework based on metadata harvesting

The GFAR document repository is a database&nbsp;of&nbsp;GFAR publications with access to the full-text digital document. The repository&nbsp;is the result of collaboration between the Global Forum&rsquo;s Secretariat and the former FAO&rsquo;s Library and Documentation Systems Division (WAICENT), who provided a customized version of their Electronic Information Management System (EIMS).
