Dear colleagues,

After four challenging but ultimately rewarding years, I have stepped down from my role as Executive Secretary of GFAiR. During this time, we achieved important milestones together — from securing a new host and funding model, to shaping a revised Charter and renewed governance bodies, and launching the Global NARS Consortium (GNC). GFAiR now counts more than 1,300 members — double the number we had when I started — and is stronger than ever.
 
I want to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible experience of working with such inspiring colleagues in GFAiR, CGIAR/ABC, and many partner organisations. Together, we have weathered heavy storms and found a safe harbour — one from which GFAiR can now continue to do its “magic” through Collective Actions, including its flagship initiative, the GNC. I am confident this will lead to real policy change and meaningful impact on the ground.
 
It has been an honour and a pleasure to work alongside you, learn from you, and share so many memorable moments. Your wisdom, commitment, and resilience have made this journey truly special.
 
While I’m excited about my next chapter — coordinating international research cooperation for the implementing organisation of the Federal Ministry of Research in Germany — I will miss working with you.
