GFAiR Executive Secretary's SOR4D 2026 keynote makes headlines

The Global Forum on Agricultural Innovation and Research (GFAiR) is honoured to share that the Executive Secretary  Joanna Kane-Potaka has been featured in The Star media for her keynote address at the SOR4D Research Conference 2026 in Bern, Switzerland.

The conference convened the research and development community under the theme: "Advancing Transdisciplinary Research for Global Development: Crisis, Collaboration, and Change."

Hosted by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) through the Solution Oriented Research for Development (SOR4D) programme, the conference explored how transdisciplinary approaches can drive sustainable solutions to today's most pressing challenges—from climate shocks to food insecurity and inequality.

A Critical Question for Research for Development

In her keynote, Ms Kane-Potaka posed a provocative and timely question: "Are equitable partnerships enough?"
