Michael Potts is a Senior Technical Advisor at Catholic Relief Services responsible for Agriculture and Livelihoods project activities in the CRS Asian regions. Michael brings with him 17 years of experience at the International Potato Center where he developed with farmers answers to research and development issues, notably on seed systems; 10 years of practical livestock farm management on his family farm in New Zealand; and, most recently, working with CRS country programmes on developing behaviour-change approaches to livelihood issues in Africa and Asia.

Currently he is an Assistant Research Fellow with the Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Research Organization (STIPRO). He holds BSc. Agricultural Education and Extension and MSc. Agricultural Education and Extension both from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), Tanzania.
