The Uganda National Apiculture Development Organisation (TUNADO) is a membership and apex body manadated by the Government of Uganda under the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) to coordinate the apiculture industry and all the stakeholders. The organisation carries research on technology, honey marketing and how to intergrate bee and the rest of agriculture for pollination and to increase crop productivity.

I am the head of the Department of Biochemistry and Microbial Genomics.
Main Projects of the Dept are devoted to the study of plant growth-promoting bacteria.
Research covers basic as well as applied aspects of the interaction soil-plant-bacteria.
Our current Projects are focused on the following areas:
1) Physiology and biochemistry of some Plant growth-promoting bacteria (e.g. Sinorhizobium meliloti, Herbaspirillum seropedicae, Cupriavidus sp. Burkholderia sp.)
2) Search and characterization of native alfa and beta rhizobia associated to native legumes

I am currently writing on my master thesis. The aim of this master thesis is among others to analyze the interplay between income/urbanization and food supply. My master studies have been focusing on Economic Geography in the major and Enivornmental Scliences as well as Agricultural Sciences in my two minor subjects.

I am using quite a lot of date from the FAO and appreciate that they offer them to the users.
