Current: Professor of Agricultural Engineering, Sokoine University of Agriculture, Morogoro Tanzania. Formerly: Director of Rural Infrastructure & Agro-industries Division, FAO, Rome, Italy [2001-11]; First Executive Director - ASARECA, Entebbe, Uganda [1995-2001]; Inaugural Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Botswana, Gaborone, Botswana [1987-95]; Professor & Head of Agricultural Engineering Department, University bof Dar es Salaam/Sokoine University of Agriculture [1979/87].

i have studied agriculture with dual majors in plant protection and agribusiness management. i am involved in teaching and research of both of the subjects.

INIFAP stands for National Research Institute for Forestry, Agriculture and Livestock. It´s a government institution with presence in all the states of the country. The CNRG is the National Genetic Resources Center and depends directly from the INIFAP.This Federal Government development has been achieved through the SAGARPA (Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fishing and Food Secretary) and INIFAP (National Forestry, Crop and Livestock Research Institute).
