I am the head of the Department of Biochemistry and Microbial Genomics.
Main Projects of the Dept are devoted to the study of plant growth-promoting bacteria.
Research covers basic as well as applied aspects of the interaction soil-plant-bacteria.
Our current Projects are focused on the following areas:
1) Physiology and biochemistry of some Plant growth-promoting bacteria (e.g. Sinorhizobium meliloti, Herbaspirillum seropedicae, Cupriavidus sp. Burkholderia sp.)
2) Search and characterization of native alfa and beta rhizobia associated to native legumes

I am currently writing on my master thesis. The aim of this master thesis is among others to analyze the interplay between income/urbanization and food supply. My master studies have been focusing on Economic Geography in the major and Enivornmental Scliences as well as Agricultural Sciences in my two minor subjects.

I am using quite a lot of date from the FAO and appreciate that they offer them to the users.
