Maurits van den Berg (1960) is Senior Policy Researcher Agriculture, at PBL the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency. He has wide experience in the development and application of novel approaches to assess agronomic, economic and environmental performance of (agricultural) land use systems at scales ranging from sub-field level to global level. He holds an MSc degree in Agricultural Sciences from Wageningen University (1986) and a Doctors degree (≈PhD) from Utrecht University (2000).
I am a PhD scholar doing research on entitled “food security in resource scarce areas and the quest for inclusion of marginal groups in far western region of Nepal”. Major themes of my research include resource scarcity, food security, and institutions. Also, I have been involving in teaching to master’s level student in Kathamndu University. In addition, I am an advisor of Dalits Alliances for Natural Resources (DANAR) Nepal, which is only one advocacy organization on abovementioned themes of the dalit, a very much neglected community of Nepal.
