Rupert Best is a Senior Technical Advisor for Agriculture and Environment in Catholic Relief Services’ Program Quality Support Department in Baltimore. Rupert has made his career in rural and agricultural R&D, with specific interest in rural agroenterprise development. Prior to working for CRS, Rupert spent 24 years with the International Center for Tropical Agriculture, CIAT, in Colombia, Uganda and Italy.

Our focus area is to provide agricutlure services to the entire agri value chain. We are working certain mobile based platforms, to disseminate the same to the farmers. We have developed a platform called- Farmer knowledge platform. The fulcrum of our services is the belief that FARMER KNOWS MORE, and his knowledge needs to be institutionalised. as currently all extension services are push based, things are pushed down the farmers throat, never its assumed that , they need to be given what is needed by them.
