The Global Forum on Agricultural Research (
GFAR), together with
FAO and under the
CIARD umbrella, has launched a survey to assess the level of awareness and usage of the
CIARD RING among current and prospective users.
The CIARD RING is a global directory of information services and datasets for agriculture launched in 2010 and has now grown to more than 1000 registrations.
The directory allows agricultural data providers to publicize their services and datasets. Furthermore and more importantly, it enables providers of integrated services and app developers to automatically discover, access and re-use the data through APIs.
