Prof. Wale Adekunle holds a Bachelor of Agriculture degree and M.Sc. in Plant Science from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and a Ph.D. in Agronomy from the University of Ibadan. He is presently the Coordinator of the Sub-Saharan Africa Challenge Program and the Director for Partnerships and Strategic Alliances in FARA. He has had over 25 years of experience in Agricultural Research and Development.
Holding M.Sc. in Agronomy from the University of Jordan since 1989 . Worked in the University of Jordan for two years as Study and Research Assistant at the Faculty of Agriculture which included making studies and researches on land reclamation and combat of desertification in partnership with the local communities and farmers (Male/Female) through introducing new techniques and methods in agriculture to reclaim the areas that under threaten of desertification.
