I am a research associate at Data Archiving and Networked Services and the eHumanities group of the KNAW. My research activities are around the design of decentralised interconnected knowledge systems and their social implications.

I was born and raised in Cochabamba, a beautiful valley in the center of Bolivia. My father thought me to respect all forms of live when he saw me bothering a frog in the garden when I was nearly five years old. Since then I have a great fascination with nature and have a strong commitment towards its protection. In 2007 I obtained my degree in Environmental Engineering. 

Integrated Crop Management Advisor. Diploma (Primary school teacher), Diploma (Biology: Ecology). Areas of expertise: Biological control and integrated crop management (ICM) of agricultural pests and weeds. Participatory methods for knowledge transfer in ICM implementation. Teaching methodology for participatory knowledge transfer. Development of curricula, implementation of farmer participatory training / training of trainers in vegetable, cotton, tobacco and maize. Development of training materials, handbooks for participatory knowledge transfer.
