Arif Goheer is an Agronomist/Agro-Climatologist by profession. He is currently working as a Principal Scientific Officer & Acting Head, Agriculture, Forestry & Land Use Section at Global Change Impact Studies Centre (GCISC), Islamabad, Pakistan. Assessing the impacts of climate variability and change on agricultural systems using crop simulation and water management modeling approaches, devising adaptation and mitigation strategies to cope with the adverse effects of climate change; sustainable agricultural development and science – policy linkages are his prime areas of interest.
