e-Agriculture: Congratulations for the appointment to Director YPARD,could you briefly introduce yourself?

Over 300 farmers, farmer leaders, women and youth farmers, and representatives from farmer and fisher organizations (FOs) from all corners of the Philippines, representatives from government offices, civil society organizations (CSOs), and development partners participated in the Knowledge Learning Market and Policy Engagement 2018 of the 5th International Year of Family Farming (IYFF) held at the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) Convention Hall in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines on 7-8 November 2018.

What is the most effective way to end hunger sustainably? And what would it cost? These two questions are central to a new initiative: Ceres2030 aims at giving answers to the fundamental endeavour to evaluate the benefits, costs and trade-offs of agricultural interventions to ensure effective action. The project is a joint initiative by International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), Cornell University and International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).

This document is the final output of the 2018 Bonn expert consultation on "Ethical, legal and policy aspects of data sharing affecting farmers", organized by GFAR, GODAN and CTA, hosted by the German Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) and supported by the Kuratorium für Technik und Bauwesen in der Landwirtschaft (KTBL).
