Areas of expertise: Research focuses on the biological control of invasive weed species and their impact on the habitats they invade. Currently managing a biological control programme for Impatiens glandulifera (Himalayan Balsam) in the UK, and researching its impact on invertebrate populations. Expertise and experience include practical work in quarantine, overseas surveys (Pakistan, India and Japan), ecological sampling and identification of invertebrates and plants in the UK, plant propagation, and project management.
